Product Description
Febentel 222 mg contains Febantel, a broad-spectrum anthelmintic (dewormer). It is highly effective against various intestinal parasites, including roundworms, hookworms, whipworms, and some tapeworms. It works by interfering with the energy metabolism of the parasites, leading to their death and elimination from the body.

Note: Febentel is commonly used in veterinary medicine but is also used in certain countries for human deworming under medical supervision.

Dosage and Administration

Recommended Dosage for Adults:

• Standard dose: 1 tablet of 222 mg once daily for 3 consecutive days.
• In some cases, the doctor may recommend repeating the course after 2–3 weeks.

How to Take:

• Take the tablet after food to reduce the chance of stomach upset.
• Swallow the tablet whole with a full glass of water.
• Do not crush or chew the tablet.

For Children:
Dosage is usually based on body weight. Use only as prescribed by a doctor.

Important Information

Do NOT take Febentel 222 mg if you:

• Are allergic to Febantel or similar deworming medicines (Albendazole, Mebendazole, Fenbendazole)
• Are pregnant (especially during the first trimester)
• Are breastfeeding
• Have severe liver disease

Warnings and Precautions

• Inform your doctor if you have liver or kidney problems.
• It is recommended to treat all family members at the same time to prevent re-infection.
• Maintain good hygiene (wash hands, clean bedding, etc.) during and after treatment.
• A second course may be required in heavy parasitic infections.

Common Side Effects

• Nausea or vomiting
• Diarrhea
• Stomach pain or discomfort
• Headache
• Dizziness
• Loss of appetite

These side effects are usually mild and disappear after treatment is completed.

Storage

• Store below 25°C (77°F) in a cool, dry place
• Keep in the original blister pack
• Protect from moisture and direct sunlight
• Keep out of reach of children

Important Note
Febentel 222 mg is a potent deworming medication. It should be used only under the advice of a qualified doctor. Do not self-medicate. Proper diagnosis of the parasitic infection is recommended before starting treatment.
