Product Description
Orlicare 120 mg contains Orlistat, a weight-loss medication that works in the digestive system. It blocks the enzyme lipase, which prevents about 30% of the fat you eat from being absorbed by the body. The unabsorbed fat is passed out through your stools. It is used for the treatment of obesity and for weight maintenance.

Dosage and Administration

Recommended Dose:

• Take one 120 mg capsule with each main meal (3 times daily).
• Take it during the meal or within 1 hour after eating a meal that contains fat.
• If a meal contains no fat or you skip a meal, you may skip the dose of Orlicare.

Maximum daily dose: Do not exceed 3 capsules (360 mg) per day.

How to Take

• Swallow the capsule whole with water.
• Do not open, crush, or chew the capsule.
• For best results, combine Orlicare with a reduced-calorie diet that is low in fat (no more than 30% of calories from fat).
• Take a daily multivitamin supplement containing vitamins A, D, E, and K at bedtime (at least 2 hours before or after taking Orlicare), as the medicine can reduce the absorption of these fat-soluble vitamins.

Important Information

Do NOT take Orlicare 120 mg if you:

• Are allergic to Orlistat
• Have chronic malabsorption syndrome (problems absorbing nutrients)
• Have cholestasis (problems with bile flow from the liver)
• Are pregnant or breastfeeding

Warnings and Precautions

• Tell your doctor if you have kidney stones, gallbladder problems, diabetes, or thyroid disease.
• Orlistate may affect the absorption of some medicines (e.g. cyclosporine, levothyroxine, antiepileptic drugs). Your doctor may need to adjust doses.
• This medicine can cause unpleasant gastrointestinal side effects if you eat high-fat meals. Following a low-fat diet is essential.
• Regular monitoring of weight, blood sugar, and cholesterol is recommended during treatment.

Common Side Effects

• Oily or fatty stools
• Oily spotting on underwear
• Urgent need to have a bowel movement
• Increased frequency of bowel movements
• Flatulence (gas) with oily discharge
• Stomach pain or discomfort

These side effects are usually worse when consuming high-fat foods.

Important Note
Orlicare 120 mg is a prescription medicine for weight management. It works best when used together with a healthy diet and regular physical activity. It is not an appetite suppressant and does not affect the central nervous system.
