Product Description
Covimectin 12 mg contains Ivermectin, a powerful antiparasitic medication. It is used to treat various parasitic infections in humans, including scabies, strongyloidiasis, river blindness (onchocerciasis), head lice, and other intestinal worm infections. It works by paralyzing and killing the parasites.

Dosage and Administration

Recommended Dose for Adults:

• The usual dose is 12 mg (one tablet) taken as a single dose.
• In some conditions (such as scabies or strongyloidiasis), your doctor may instruct you to repeat the dose after 7–14 days.

How to Take:

• Take the tablet on an empty stomach (at least 1 hour before or 2 hours after a meal) with a full glass of water.
• Do not chew, crush, or break the tablet.
• Take exactly as prescribed by your doctor. Dosage may vary depending on body weight, type of infection, and severity.

Important Information

Do NOT take Covimectin 12 mg if you:

• Are allergic to Ivermectin or any of the ingredients
• Are pregnant or breastfeeding
• Have liver problems (without doctor’s approval)
• Are under 15 kg in body weight

Warnings and Precautions

• This medicine should only be used under medical supervision.
• Inform your doctor if you have any liver disease, kidney disease, or immune system disorders.
• It may cause dizziness. Do not drive or operate machinery until you know how it affects you.
• In cases of heavy parasitic infection, some patients may experience mild to moderate reactions (Mazzotti reaction) such as fever, rash, itching, or swollen lymph nodes.

Common Side Effects

• Nausea
• Dizziness
• Diarrhea
• Headache
• Itching or skin rash
• Muscle or joint pain

Serious Side Effects (seek medical help immediately):

• Severe skin rash, swelling of face/lips/tongue
• Difficulty breathing
• Severe dizziness or fainting
• Confusion or seizures

Storage

• Store below 25°C (77°F) in a cool, dry place
• Keep in the original blister pack
• Protect from direct sunlight and moisture
• Keep out of reach of children

Important Note
Covimectin 12 mg is an antiparasitic medicine and is not used for viral infections. It should only be taken when prescribed by a qualified doctor. Self-medication is strongly discouraged.
